Jay Thomas is the Managing Principal, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Bevon Thomas. Mr. Thomas provides strategic direction for Bevon Thomas and is responsible for all major investment decisions for the investment funds managed by the firm.
Mr. Thomas pioneered Bevon Thomas' approach to global macro investing, an evolved approach that integrates macro fundamental, systematic, and relative value analysis in the formation and implementation of financial market views.
Before he launched the Bevon Master Fund in 2015, Mr. Thomas was a Senior Trader at FSI's foreign exchange and interest rates derivatives franchise, which managed significant proprietary risk exposures within the company’s capital markets business. Prior to joining FSI, Mr. Thomas began his career at Morgan Stanley as an agency mortgage options, securities lending and pass-through securities analyst.
Kevin has been integral to the growth of Bevon Thomas, joining at launch in late 2015 and is a member of the management team. Kevin is the Founding Partner & Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Diomedea Capital Advisors, a Bahamas-based investment advisory firm. He is also currently the Deputy Director, Investments at the National Insurance Board of the Bahamas, guiding their $1.4 billion social security portfolio.
Kevin has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including an international posting as Director and Chief Investment Officer of London-based Nedgroup Investments. While at Nedgroup, he had overall management responsibility for the London office and directed their international manager and hedge fund program with assets of approximately $1 billion.
Kevin received a BA in Economics (Cum Laude) from Yale University and a Masters in Finance from Cambridge University. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations and is a Past President and Director of the CFA Society The Bahamas. Mr. Burrows was formerly a Lecturer in the School of Business at the University of the Bahamas and was the first Chairman of the Government of the Bahamas Fiscal Responsibility Council (FRC).
Mr. Gamble joined Bevon Thomas in 2022 as Head of Business Development. He was promoted to Principal in 2023 and to Chief Operating Officer in 2024. His primary responsibilities include oversight of the business operations and development of the firm.
Mr. Gamble has over 10 years of experience specializing in the placement of corporate and municipal securities as well as trading government securities for institutional accounts. Additionally, he is responsible for relationship management and business development with corporations across all areas of investment bank, Blaylock Van.
Tarrell V. Gamble is 1st Vice Chair of the Board of Retirement at ACERA (Alameda County Employee Retirement Association). Mr. Gamble is Vice Chair of the Investment, Audit, CEO Evaluation, and CEO Succession Committees. He is a member of the Operations and By-Laws Committees.
Tarrell completed the Tuck Executive Education program at Dartmouth and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Finance and Banking from San Francisco State University.
Ms. Brown joined Bevon Thomas in 2023 as a systemic strategy and product specialist focusing on global macro rates and fx strategies.
Ms. Brown has over 20 years of capital markets experience beginning at State Street, providing attribution and risk analysis to hedge fund clients. After leading roles in equity research, Lisa began working Sandfire Securities designing US High Yield quantitative trading strategies, researching global macro themes and managing asset allocation strategies.
Ms. Brown has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Carleton University, a post-graduate diploma in finance from the London School of Economics and a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) from the CQF Institute where she sits on the Portfolio Management Industry Advisory Group.
